While it’s been long known the children can subsidy physically from participating in bunch sports, few reach the psychological repayment associated with enrolling their result in bunch sports that they have. The importance of bodily activity such as squad sports is at an all-time high due to the verity that many of our children are now overweight. Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

What sport do you think looks the best in HD compared to what it looks like in standard definition? I’m personally torn between football and baseball, but I have a friend who recently told me he thought Hockey was the biggest difference.

Hockey for sure

Airsoft, a Great Alternative Sport

Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

There are plenty of alternative things; alternative music, alternative medicines, alternative vehicles, and much more (actually I can’t think of any more alternative types, but there are more!) As with that, there are alternative sports. For example, skateboarding is considered an alternative sport. But what is THE alternative sport? The answer; airsoft. Sure, it is a matter of opinion, but just think about it (don’t worry, you don’t have to think, I’ll elaborate on it).

Let’s take a look at the mainstream sports. We have football. People get up in these big suits and try to take a ball to the end of the field, and other people try to stop them. When a person gets knocked down, they have to stop and reposition. How exciting! Then baseball. A guy has to hit a ball over a fence with a wooden stick. Golf. I don’t think I need to elaborate on that. But airsoft; people run around with guns shooting at each other, utilizing clever tactics and brute force in a perfect blend in such a way to create maximum excitement. I’m sorry if I have offended any football/baseball/golf fans (yes, I may have exaggerated just a bit in the above text), but think about it. Engaging in dense firefights with other people, or throwing a ball. Perhaps I am being too harsh. Yes, it’s true, football and baseball are exciting (don’t make me say golf, I won’t say it), but airsoft is more exciting.

I’ll admit, it is easier to find people to play mainstream sports with than airsoft, because airsoft requires specific supplies to play with. That’s not an admission as much it is a factual belief. However, it is easy to recruit people into airsoft, because of the excitement. All you need is a gun, some BBs, a mask and a cup. Buy the gear online, perhaps through a well-designed, sleek website (heh heh), and then you are ready to go (after reviewing safety rules, of course).

Another reason airsoft is such a good alternative sport is it doesn’t take much time to learn. An experienced skateboarder can’t really go skateboarding with a new person, but an experienced airsoft player can still have a lot of fun with someone playing for the first time. Besides tactics, the game is quite simple (if you are playing basic elimination); point and shoot. Also, new players could still win the game, as they only have to land one shot. You can’t say a new skateboarder could “outskate” an experienced boarder, now could you? I didn’t think so.

Does sport pilot license allow you to fly internationally?

Tuesday, October 6th, 2009

When licensed to fly internationally can you fly an ultralight? I ask because the rules defining an ultralight very from nation to nation. It seems like if you are licensed for a larger plane then anything smaller would be ok also, but not sure. Alternately, could you license an ultralight as a sport plane or regular plane. The idea is ultralights are CHEAP.

you do not need a certificate (license) to operate a ultralight.
